The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team won its second straight North Eastern Athletic Conference match as the Chargers defeated Bryn Athyn, 9-0 in Bryn Athyn, Pa. for their second win in as many days. The victory improves the Chargers to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
The three Lancaster Bible doubles teams dropped just three games as the Chargers swept the doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. The number one doubles team of
Alex Derus and
Nathan Amspacher won, 8-1 and
Tedd Holbrook and
Dan Soden won their number two doubles match, 8-2.
Justin Bendo and
Evan Holbrook didn't drop a single game in their number three doubles match as they won, 8-0.
Derus won his number one singles match, 6-0, 7-5, while Amspacher cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Bryn Athyn's Johnny Walker at number two singles. Holbrook won his number three singles match, 6-0, 6-1, while Soden won his number four singles match, 6-0, 6-0.Â
Bendo won 6-3, 7-5 at number five singles, while freshman Evan Holbook won his first collegiate match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number six singles.
Lancaster Bible will play its third match in three days on Monday as the Chargers head to St. Davids, Pa. to face Eastern at 3:30 p.m.Â
