The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team kicked off its season on Sunday as the Chargers lost to Mount Aloysius, 8-1 in Ebensburg, Pa. Mount Aloysius moved to 2-0 with the victory.
The Chargers dropped all three doubles matches as the top doubles pair, brothers
Tedd Holbrook and
Evan Holbrook lost, 8-3, while number two doubles pair,
Daniel Fabrick and
Jesse Weaver lost, 8-2. Third doubles duo,
Jason Steiner and
Cody Rupp, lost 8-1 in their match.
Tedd Holbrook lost his number one singles match, 6-3, 6-2 to the Mounties top play Matt Hample, but Fabrick earned the team's lone point with his 6-1, 6-2 victory at number two singles.
Evan Holbrook lost, 6-0, 6-0 at number three singles and senior
Nathan Grimley lost his first collegiate tennis match, 6-4, 6-2 at number four singles.
Ming Bowser lost his number five single match, 6-0, 6-0 and
Jason Steiner lost by the same score at number six singles.
Lancaster Bible is back in action on Tuesday, March 15 when the Chargers host Hood at 3 p.m. The match will be played at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.
