The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team dropped two matches this week, but that doesn't tell the whole story as the Chargers have played well in spurts of both matches, but haven't been able to come away with the team victory. Lancaster Bible lost to Penn St. Harrisburg, 9-0 on Thursday in Middletown, Pa. and lost a nail-biter to Immaculata on Saturday, 5-4 at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.

Evan Holbrook, 8-1. Number two and three doubles were decided by the same 8-2 score.Â
Lancaster Bible number one singles player,
Daniel Fabrick played a terrific match that went the distance, unfortunately, Fabrick ran out of gas in the third-set super tie-breaker and lost. Fabrick grabbed the opening set, 6-4, before falling, 7-6 in a second-set tie-breaker. Fabrick trailed, 6-5 (15-30) in the second set, but rallied to tie the set before falling, 7-5 in the tie-breaker. His opponent, Brazillian Rafael Fernandes, kept his momentum going and won the super tie-breaker, 10-2 to win the match.
Immaculata 5, Lancaster Bible 4Lancaster Bible won two of the three doubles matches as the number one team of Fabrick and
Tedd Holbrook earned an 8-2 win over Dom Ramsden and Patrick Tierno. The Chargers also won number three doubles by forfeit. After earning another point via forfeit at number six singles,
Jared Steiner earned another victory for Lancaster Bible as he won his number five singles match, 6-1, 0-6, 6-3.Â
The Chargers did everything they could to earn the final point and match victory, but the Mighty Macs fought back and completed the come back to win, 5-4.
Tedd Holbrook lost a tough match at number two singles as he won the first set, 6-4, but dropped sets two and three by the same score of 6-3.
Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Wednesday when the Chargers travel to Clarks Summit, Pa. to face Summit at 4 p.m.
