The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team dropped to 0-5 this season on Monday as the Chargers lost to Hood, 5-4 at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. The Blazers improved to 1-6 this season as the Chargers lost 5-4 for the second time in three matches.
The number one doubles team of
Daniel Fabrick and
Tedd Holbrook earned Lancaster Bible its lone point in the doubles portion of the match as Fabrick and Holbrook won, 8-2.
Evan Holbrook and
Nathan Grimley lost at number two doubles, 8-2, while
Ming Bowser and
Jared Steiner dropped an 8-4 decision at number three doubles.
Tedd Holbrook won his number two singles match, 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 and
Jesse Weaver followed with a win of his own at number three singles, as he defeated Hood's Richard Hershey, 6-2, 6-3.
Jason Steiner earned the other Lancaster Bible victory in singles play as he won 8-4 at number six. Fabrick,
Evan Holbrook and
Cody Rupp dropped their singles matches, with Fabrick losing 6-3, 6-2 to Hood's number one play, Alex Sexton.
The Chargers return to the court on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. when they host Rosemont at 3:30 p.m. The match will be played at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.
