The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season on Tuesday as the Chargers defeated Rosemont, 9-0 at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. The victory improves the Chargers to 1-5 this season, while Rosemont falls to 0-4.Â
All three of Lancaster Bible's doubles teams cruised to victories as the number one team of
Daniel Fabrick and
Tedd Holbrook won, 8-1, while number two doubles,
Evan Holbrook and
Jesse Weaver won, 8-2. The Chargers' number three doubles team of
Ming Bowser and
Jared Steiner didn't drop any games as they won, 8-0.
Doubles was just a preview of singles action as the Chargers once again had little trouble in securing any of their victories. Fabrick won, 6-2, 6-0 at number one singles, while
Tedd Holbrook won, 6-0, 6-0 in his number two singles match. Weaver cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number three, while
Nathan Grimley won his number four singles match, 6-1, 6-1.Â
Cody Rupp picked up a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number five and
Jason Steiner scored the ninth point for the Chargers with a 6-0, 6-1 win at number six singles.
Tuesday's 9-0 win was the first for Lancaster Bible since April 12, 2015 when the Chargers blanked Bryn Athyn, 9-0.
Lancaster Bible is back in action on Wednesday when the Chargers travel to Williamsport, Pa. to face Lycoming in a match set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
