The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team snapped its three-match losing streak with a 6-3 victory over Keuka on Saturday morning in Keuka Park, N.Y. The Chargers are now 3-9 overall and 2-2 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.Â
Lancaster Bible began the match on a positive note as the Chargers won at number two and number three doubles.
Jesse Weaver and
Evan Holbrook won their number two doubles match, 8-6, while
Nathan Grimley and
Jared Steiner won, 8-3 at number three doubles.
Daniel Fabrick dropped a tough match at number one singles as he fell, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.
Tedd Holbrook won in three sets at number two singles as he defeated Phuoc Mui, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (5). Weaver followed at number three singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, while
Evan Holbrook also won, 6-1, 6-0 at number four singles.
Grimley lost his number five singles match, but
Jason Steiner earned another point for Lancaster Bible as he won at number six singles, 6-2, 6-1.Â
Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Friday when the Chargers take on Delaware Valley at 3:30 p.m. The match will be played at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.Â
