The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team won it second straight match on Tuesday as the Chargers swept Delaware Valley, 9-0 in Doylestown, Pa. The victory propels the Chargers to 3-4 this season, while the Aggies dropped to 0-6.Â
The number one doubles team of
Ming Bowser and
Cody Rupp played a great match against Zack Harkcom and Harry Guenst, as Bowser and Rupp came away with a 9-7 victory.
Jared Steiner and
Evan Holbrook won their flight two doubles match, 8-1, while
Jason Steiner and
Keven Vallette also cruised at number three doubles, 8-2.Â
In singles, Bowser earned his first singles victory of the season as he won his flight one match, 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 over Harkcom.
Jared Steiner easily won his flight two match, 6-0, 6-3, while his brother Jason won his number three singles match, 6-1, 6-0.Â
Holbrook won his flight four match, 6-2, 6-0 and Rupp was a winner in his abbreviated flight five match, 8-0. Senior
Caleb Onasch was victorious at number six singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Tuesday marked the first of four straight days of matches for the Chargers as Lancaster Bible will face Penn St. Berks on Wednesday, NCAA Division II and Lancaster County neighbor Millersville on Thursday and Penn St. Berks on Friday. Wednesday's match against Berks will be played in Reading, Pa. and begin at 1 p.m.
