The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball program begins the 16th season in program history on Friday night, as the Chargers will once again take part in the Jim Coleman Invitational on the campus of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. The Chargers are coming off the most successful season in program history, in which the team finished 24-5 overall, won its first-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship, and won the college's first-ever NCAA National Tournament contest, as the Chargers advanced to the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals after defeating Rivier, 3-2 in the opening round of the tournament.
 
The Chargers welcome back a large portion of last season's team, as just three players graduated following the season. Sixteen players are back in Lancaster Bible uniforms, joined by six incoming freshman who represent one of Head Coach Jade Brubaker's strongest recruiting classes.

Team Notes
-Lancaster Bible was named the top team in the NEAC Preseason Poll, as the Chargers earned five first-place votes
-Nate Miller was named a preseason NCAA Division III All-American by Off the Block
-The Chargers will play 13 regular season home matches at Horst Athletic Center, with three teams currently ranked in the AVCA Top 15 Poll headed to Lancaster
-Lancaster Bible posted 1,179 kills last season, and posted a 72-26 margin in set victories
-The Chargers were also 12-1 at home last season, and will be riding a 12-match home winning streak when they open their home slate on Jan. 26 against Penn St. Altoona and 12th ranked Marymount
-Kaleb Ansell is already the program's all-time leader in career assists, and needs just 133 more assists to reach the 2,000 mark
-Lancaster Bible is just outside the AVCA Top 15 to begin the season, as the Chargers received 25 votes, nine short of the 15th ranked team, Elms…The Chargers finished last season as the 15th ranked team in NCAA Division III by the AVCA.

-Head Jade Brubaker has been named the NEAC Coach of the Year over the past two seasons, and has led the Chargers to 20 or more wins in each of the past two seasons
