The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team swept two matches on Saturday at the Horst Athletic Center, as the Chargers defeated SUNY Poly, 3-1, and SUNY Cobleskill, 3-0. Lancaster Bible is now 12-10 overall and 5-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.

About the Match: After taking the first sets with relative ease, the Chargers dropped the final three points of the third set to let the Wildcats back in the match, but Lancaster Bible recovered, and overcame a four-point deficit midway through the fourth set to earn the victory…The Chargers had 52 kills and 21 errors on 128 attempts for a .242 hitting percentage, while the Wildcats had 38 kills and 26 errors on 125 attempts for a .096 hitting percentage…The Chargers also led in digs, 55-50, and blocks, 10-3…
Aleah Heyworth and 
Cassidy King each had 13 kills to pace the Chargers, while 
Chloe King had 12, and 
Courtney Goyak had 10 kills and four blocks…
Faith Helman had a career-best 46 assists, while 
Bekah Roberts had three kills and five blocks.
 
News & Notes: Lancaster Bible is now 5-4 all-time against SUNY Poly…The Chargers defeated the Wildcats, 3-0 last season in a neutral site match played in Cobleskill, N.Y…The .242 team hitting percentage is the second-best mark of the season, trailing only the .333 hitting percentage the team posted in a four-set win against Hood earlier this year.

About the Match: Lancaster Bible easily took the first set, but had to bat away the pesky Fighting Tigers in sets two and three…Lancaster Bible finished with 37 kills and 22 errors on 128 attempts for a .117 hitting percentage, while the Fighting Tigers had 16 kills and 21 errors on 102 attempts for a -.049 hitting percentage…Heyworth had a team-best nine kills to go with six digs…
Chloe King and Goyak each had eight kills, while 
Suzanna Whiting had a team-high 16 digs…
Kate Smoker also added 13 digs, while Rebekah Godshall had four of the team's 12 aces.
The Coach Says: "I thought we had a great collective effort from the whole team today, and it is really nice to get back-to-back wins, especially NEAC wins," Lancaster Bible Head Coach 
Micah Herron said. "I told them before today that winners find solutions, and I thought we did that during both matches. Faith made some really good decisions on the court today, and kept us going."
 
News & Notes: Lancaster Bible has never lost to SUNY Cobleskill, and is now 9-0 all-time against the Fighting Tigers…The Chargers defeated SUNY Cobleskill, 3-0 in Cobleskill, N.Y. last season…Lancaster Bible is now 4-2 at home this season…The 12 aces were the eighth time this season the Chargers have had double-digit aces…Saturday's second match also marked the 11
