The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team split a tri-match on Saturday in Abington, Pa., as the Chargers lost their North Eastern Athletic Conference match to the host Nittany Lions, 3-0, before sweeping Delaware Valley in a non-conference match. The Chargers are now 10-10 overall this season, and 3-1 in NEAC play.

Quick Recap: The Chargers trailed by just two midway through the opening set, but Penn St. Abington won six of eight points midway through the set, and eventually won, 25-19…The Chargers had 10 kills to five in the second set over Penn St. Abington, but errors haunted the Chargers in the second frame, and Lancaster Bible committed 13 during the second set…The teams went back-and-forth the entire third set, but the Nittany Lions won three of the final four points of the set, and took the match, 3-0.

The Coach Says: "Our ship was springing leaks everywhere during the match against Penn St. Abington, and no matter what we tried, we couldn't plug all of the holes," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Micah Herron said. "Nothing seemed to work, and we just got beat. I thought we responded well in the second match and began executing at a higher level, and thought it was a really good bounce back win. We need to get some rest this week, and look forward to hosting NEAC matches next Saturday."
