Box Score The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team won its first match of the season on Saturday, as the Chargers defeated Delaware Valley, 7-2 at Hempfield Rec Center in Landisville, Pa. The Chargers improved to 1-1 this spring, while the Aggies dropped to 0-1.

Lancaster Bible won two of the three doubles matches on Saturday, as the top team of
Luke Newberry and
Keven Vallette defeated Ryan Lombardo and Zack Harkcom, 8-6. The second doubles team of
Yancy Butler and
Ming Bowser dropped a close match, 8-6, and the Chargers earned the number three doubles victory by forfeit, as Delaware Valley had just five players on Saturday.

In singles action, Newberry defeated Lombardo, 6-0, 6-0 in number one singles action, while Harkcom picked up a win for Delaware Valley, 6-1, 6-0 over Butler. Bowser and the Aggies' Nick Gaetano played the match of the afternoon, as Bowser earned a 7-6 (9-7), 4-6, 10-4 victory. Vallette defeated his opponent, Nick Princetta, 6-1, 6-4 at number four singles, while
Derice Butler took down Vince Rothbort, 6-0, 6-0 at number five singles.

Lancaster Bible is 3-1 all-time against Delaware Valley. The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, March 27 when they travel to Williamsport, Pa. to take on Lycoming at 3 p.m.
