Lancaster Bible Wraps Up Regular Season at Lock Haven Qualifier

The Lancaster Bible College men's track & field team concluded its regular season on Saturday, as the Chargers took part in the Lock Haven Qualifier at Lock Haven University. The Chargers had plenty of success on Saturday, and will now look forward to the NCCAA National Invitational in mid-May.
 
How it Happened
-Eric Zimmerman was terrific on Saturday, as he won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.65, defeating five other NCAA Division II runners…Zimmerman also won the 200-meter dash, as he narrowly defeated Jefferson Fontaine from Marywood with a time of 22.58
-Trey Baughman won the 400-meter hurdle event with a time of 58.17, as he beat George Thompson from Marywood by 0.05…Baughman also won the high jump event with a mark of 1.83 meters…Baughman also won the pole vault with a mark of 3.48 meters
-Logan Klutinoty earned a sixth place finish in the 110-meter hurdle event with a time of 20.91…Klutinoty finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.42…Klutinoty was fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.53 meters…Klutinoty was second in the pole vault with a mark of 2.73 meters…Klutinoty was also third in the long jump with a jump of 5.32 meters
-Joshua Barnes was seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.27…Barnes was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.16 meters
-Zach Clemens finished eighth in the 100-meter event with a tie of 13.44…Clemens was fourth in the long jump with a jump of 5.28 meters
-Adam Horning was 12th in the 1 mile run, as he finished with a time of 4:59.69
-Chase Reed finished the 1 mile run in a time of 5:05.38, good enough for 14th place…Reed finished seventh in the 800-meter event with a time of 2:20.86
-Ty Erisman was fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.68…Erisman was second in the long jump with a mark of 5.65 meters
-The 4x400 meter relay team took home fourth place with a time of 3:54.28
 
The Coach Says
"Eric had a great day winning the 100 and tying for first in the 200, and Trey won three more events today," Lancaster Bible Head Coach Melissa Baughman said. "Our guys did really well in the long jump, and the guys broke the school record in the 4x400 relay, as Zach Clemens jumped in to run with Chase, Adam, and Alex. Overall I was proud of the team's efforts, and they represented Lancaster Bible very well with seven state schools participating."

Lancaster Bible will take part in the NCCAA Outdoor Championships in Greenville, Ill. from May 12-14.
