Chargers Cannot Keep Pace With Juniata

How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team dropped a nonconference matchup with Juniata, falling by a score of 19-5 on Wednesday, March 30.

The Chargers (6-3 Overall, 1-1 United East) got on the board five minutes into the game when Kendal Ream found Katelynn Perrotta for a goal. Juniata (9-1 Overall, 1-0 Landmark) answered back, going on a 6-0 run to surge ahead and take a 7-1 lead going into the second quarter. The Eagles continued rolling early in the second quarter, taking a 9-1 lead. Ream slowed Juniata's roll, drawing a foul and score a goal on a free position shot, making the score 9-2. The Eagles tacked on five more goals, leading 14-2 at the half.

The Eagles continued to control the flow of the game, scoring four times in the third quarter to take an 18-2 lead. The Chargers battled back in the fourth quarter. Ream netted her second goal of the game, striking off a great pass from Perrotta. Later in the quarter, Perrotta connected with Ream again to make the score 19-4. Perrotta scored LBC's final goal, flipping the ball over her shoulder and into the back of the net. The Chargers could not get any closer, eventually falling 19-5.

- Kendal Ream led the Chargers' offense, scoring three goals and dishing two assists. Ream now has 51 goals on the season
- Katelynn Perrotta scored twice and dished two assists
- Natalie Boltz led the Chargers with four ground balls
- Alexis Garrett made 13 saves in goal
- Juniata was led by Grace Gibbs who scored seven goals

The women's lacrosse team will travel to face Immaculata University on Saturday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m.
