Men's Track & Field Seth Goodyear

Track & Field Continues Improving At Mason-Dixon Invite

The LBC Track & Field Teams had another astounding showing this weekend, taking part in the Gettysburg College Mason-Dixon Meet on Saturday, April 23, taking on several area schools.   In the Field Kara Huber set a new school record in the pole vault, reaching a height of 2.90m to finish in a tie for first place. Leah Bergey brought home another first place finish for the women in the high jump clearing a height of 1.52m. On the men's side, Trey Baughman brought home a second-place finish in the men's high jump, clearing with a height 1.93m. Jalen Glasgow leaped to a third-place finish in the men's long jump traveling 5.91m. Ethan Wittneben set a new school record in the discus with a throw of 24.96 meters.  On the Track The Chargers continued their strong showing on track lead by Leah Bergey setting a new school record with a first-place finish in the women's 100m hurdles, speeding to the finish in a time of 15.05. Emma Fertig set a new school record in the 1500 meters, crossing the finish line in a time of 5:19.10. Daniel Lefko also set a new school record while taking second in the men's 10,000 meters with a time of 36:49.71. Alex McWilliams had a strong showing in the 10,000 meters, finishing fifth with a personal record of 38:41.16. Finishing fifth, Josiah McClymont set a new school record in the men's 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:48.84.

Relays LBC continued to show growth in relays at Gettysburg. The men's 4x100m relay featuring Nick Songster, Jalen Glasgow, Trey Baughman and Eric Zimmerman took fifth overall with a time of 44.69.  On the women's side, the 4x100m relay made up of Sydney Heller, Elizabeth Lieb, Kara Huber and Leah Bergey set a new school record of 53.34. Coaching Points "We had some great finishes today." said head coach Melissa Baughman.
