Box Score 2 The Lancaster Bible College men's and women's tennis teams took on the St. Elizabeth Eagles on Saturday afternoon with the men winning 8 – 1 and the women completing the sweep 9 – 0. Following the wins, the men move to 7-2 overall while the women improve to 2-8.
How It Happened: The men started off their dual with the first five singles matches winning handily.
Andrew Kelly battled tough but ended up losing in the third set in a closely contested competition. Using the performance from the singles segment, the men swept all three doubles matches including
Andrew Moore and Kelly getting an 8-2 win for the day. The Chargers ended winning the dual 8 – 1.
On the women's side, the Chargers responded to a tough York loss winning all of the singles and doubles matches allowing the Eagles to score no more than two points each set. This is a strong win for the women as they look to gain some momentum heading into United East Conference play soon.
Up Next: Both squads will hit the road on Wednesday, March 22 south to Westminister, Md. to take on non-conference foe McDaniel in their eighth match of the spring season.
