Chargers Lose to Bishops in Nashville

The Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball team competed in their first of two games at the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tenn., losing 79-67 to Ohio Wesleyan on Thursday afternoon. The Chargers move to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the United East, while the Bishops improve to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC.

How it Happened:
The Chargers jumped to a lead early behind a 3-pointer from sophomore Camden Hurst, then extended it to 11-4 on a jumper from senior Tyshaun Pulley. The lead went to eight after a layup from senior Carlos Reynoso, then nine after a pair of free throws from graduate student Jordan Praylow with seven minutes to play. Ohio Wesleyan worked back into the game, tying it at 34-all before taking a one-point lead into halftime at 37-36 after a competitive first half.

The Bishops controlled the second half, never surrendering the lead as the Chargers battled to get back on top. LBC pulled within two several times early in the half with buckets from Reynoso, Pulley, and junior Reaves Hooks, but Ohio Wesleyan continued to answer. The Bishops led by as many as 15 in the half as the Chargers fell by 12 in their first game in Nashville.

By the Numbers:
- The Chargers shot 43-percent from the field, 35-percent on 3-pointers, and 50-percent on free throws, while the Bishops shot 57-percent overall, 46-percent from 3-point range, and 80-percent from the free throw line
- Camden Hurst led the Chargers with 22 points and five rebounds
- Carlos Reynoso scored a career-high 13 points
- Tyshaun Pulley reached double-figures with 11 points
- The Bishops were led by Isaac Ward with a game-high 32 points

Information to Know:
This was the first-ever matchup between Lancaster Bible and Ohio Wesleyan. Camden Hurst now leads the Chargers in scoring at 17.4 points/game in his first season with LBC, shooting 53.3% on 3-pointers and 84.6% from the charity stripe. Jordan Praylow reached both 200 points and 200 assists for his career, becoming just the 18th player in program history to dish 200+ career assists.

Up Next:
