The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team concluded their regular season on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Bryn Athyn while resting several of their starters. The Chargers improve to 13-13 overall and a perfect 6-0 in conference, earning the top seed in next week's United East Playoffs, while the Lions end their season 12-17 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
How it Happened:
The Chargers started set one strong on a 6-1 run, accented by two kills from both
Hunter Davis and
Carson Hoover. Bryn Athyn won four of the next five points, but Davis had back-to-back service aces to cap off four straight points for LBC, then the Chargers had another run of seven points with kills from
Jordan Yoder and
Craig Patrick to help steer LBC to a commanding 25-9 set victory.
After an early 2-2 tie in the second set, the Chargers won eight of the next ten points with some Lion errors and a
Zach Herb service ace to cap off the run. The Chargers then ran away with the set on a 10-point splurge with four kills from
Zeke Clark and two aces from
Michael Myers, finishing off set two 25-10.
The Chargers stayed in the driver's seat with an early seven-point run in the third set, featuring two kills from
Jaiden Flanagan. The two teams traded points throughout the middle of the set with Bryn Athyn going on a four-point run to cut the lead to 14-11. LBC gave up just two points in the remainder of the set, closing on a six-point run with three kills from Hoover to round out the 3-0 sweep of the Lions.

- The Chargers hit .470 on the game, their second-best hitting day of the season
