Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men’s Basketball Falls at Penn St. Harrisburg, 73-64

The Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball team had their four game win streak snapped on Saturday at Penn State Harrisburg as the Chargers lost to the Lions 73-64. The Chargers move to 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the United East Conference while the Lions improve to 9-6 overall and 6-1 in conference action.

How It Happened: It was a sluggish start from the Chargers to open the first half as the Lions raced out to a 12-2 lead in the first few minutes. Despite the start, the Chargers managed to pull within two points on back-to-back threes from Tyshaun Pulley and Jordan Praylow. A converted and one from Connor Storr brought the Chargers to within one, 18-17. The Lions used another 10-2 run to take a commanding 28-19 lead and continued to keep their momentum as the Chargers faced a 42-29 halftime deficit.

The Lions capitalized on several early mistakes from the Chargers to start the second half to make it a 20 point deficit for the Chargers. The Lions were able to extend their lead to as much as 23 points with just ten minutes left in the game. The Chargers were able to find some life late in the game beginning with another and-one from Storr and eight straight points from Grant Sareyka to cut it within seven points but it was too late as time ran out. The Lions won 73-64.

By the Numbers: The Chargers shot 40-percent from the field, 30-percent from three, and 64-percent from the free throw line… the Lions shot 52-percent from the field, 46-percent from three, and 42-percent from the free throw line… Storr led the Chargers with 16 points and Sareyka added 15 points… Maureon Tisdale-Couch and Pulley chipped in six points… Isaiah Eggleston had a game high 31 points.
