The Lancaster Bible College Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field teams are ready to begin their 2025-26 season on Friday, looking for another set of strong performances in the United East. Head Coach
Melissa Baughman enters her 7
th season at the helm, looking to build on the Chargers' 2024-25 performances featuring 20 total medals at the conference championships across both teams with eight total first-place finishers in events.

The Men's team has a strong class of returning athletes who look to improve on their third-place United East finish last year, including
David Helms (Jr.) who won three gold medals last year in track events and was named United East Track Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year. He took first place in the Mile Run, 3,000-Meters, and 5,000-Meters, securing lots of team points for the Chargers and breaking the 5,000-Meters program record at 15:40.92. Other returners include
Emery McCombs (So.), setting program records in the Shot Put and Weight Throw last season, as well as
Kyle Durkin (So.) coming off two program records in the 400-Meters and the Long Jump. Upperclassmen returners include
Joey Benedict (Sr.),
Micah Richardson (Sr.),
Chase Gerber (Jr.), and
Benjamin Cornish (Jr.).

The Women's team is coming off a second-place finish at the United East Championships last season, returning lots of great talent from that team with many strong juniors set to show out. All four of the Chargers' individual gold medalists return from last season, including
Emma McMurray (Sr.) in the Pole Vault,
Seana Dougherty (So.) in the 5,000-Meters,
Abby Ames (Jr.) in the 3,000-Meters, and
Martha Weaver (Jr.) in the Weight Throw. Dougherty and Weaver each set a pair of program records last year, Dougherty in the Mile Run and the 5,000-Meters and Weaver in the Shot Put and Weight Throw, with other program records including
Lizzie Dimov (So.) in the 200-Meters and the LBC relay team in the 4x800M Relay.

Lancaster Bible opens the season on Friday, December 5 as they travel to Franklin & Marshall for the Diplomat Open. This is their lone meet of 2025 as they resume on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Lebanon Valley for the LVC Invite starting at 3:45 p.m. The Chargers have three more meets after that in their regular season as they travel to Alvernia on Saturday, January 17, Franklin & Marshall again on Saturday, January 24, and Alvernia again for the PLEX Shootout on Saturday, January 31. Then, Lancaster Bible competes in the NCCAA Indoor National Championships the weekend of February 13-14, followed by the conclusion of Indoor season at the United East Indoor Championships on Friday, February 27 in Landover, Md.
