The United East Conference released their weekly award winners for last week on Monday and Tuesday, with the Chargers earning two honors as both Men's Basketball junior
Camden Hurst was named Defensive Player of the Week and Men's Indoor Track & Field junior
David Helms was named Track Athlete of the Week. This is the first career weekly honor for Hurst and the third weekly honor for Helms in Indoor Track and fifth overall.

Hurst was the steam engine of the Chargers this past week as they picked up a pair of wins with a home victory over DeSales on Wednesday and a road win over Penn St. Berks on Saturday to open up conference play. Camden played well on the defensive end with four steals and four rebounds in each game, adding one block against Berks and committing just three fouls in 57 total minutes across two games. Hurst also powered the Chargers' offense this past week as he had 21 points against the Bulldogs and a season-high 32 points against the Lions, the highest-scoring game of any player in the United East so far this season. He leads the team with 19.9 points per game thus far and is shooting almost 57% from the field and almost 80% from the free throw line.

Helms had a standout performance this week in the Chargers' opening meet of the season, racing in the 5,000-Meters at the Diplomat Open on Friday and running a time of 15:10.80 to place third in the event. David set a new program record with his time, beating his own mark by 30-seconds and ranking him first in the United East and first in the NCCAA in the 5,000-Meters.
