The United East Conference released their weekly award winners on Monday afternoon, with the Chargers earning one honor as Women's Volleyball senior
Madison Timberlake was once again named Defensive Player of the Week. This is Madison's third consecutive weekly honor to begin the 2025 season as she has stepped into the starting libero role for the Chargers with incredible numbers to open up the season.

Despite the Chargers' 0-3 week as they played three consecutive matches away from home, Timberlake lit up the stat sheet, amassing 51 total digs across three matches for 4.64 digs per set on the week. Madison had a career-high night against Messiah on Wednesday with 24 digs, adding two service aces as well as the Chargers fell in four sets to the Falcons. On their Ohio trip, Madi had 17 digs against Ohio Christian and 10 digs against Rochester Christian, giving her 10+ digs in every single match so far this season through eight games. Timberlake is the United East leader in total digs so far this season with 145 and is second in digs per set at 5.18, putting her among the favorites for Defensive Player of the Year early on in the season.

The Chargers have four games this week with three at home as they begin with a Tuesday night matchup with York (Pa.) at 7:00 p.m. Then, the Chargers hit the road as they take on Hood College on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. before hosting their first home tri-match of the season on Saturday as they take on Wilkes at 11:00 a.m. and Rutgers-Newark at 3:00 p.m in the Horst Athletic Center.
