The United East Conference released their weekly award winners for last week on Monday afternoon, with the Chargers earning two honors as both Women's Volleyball junior Lea Sareyka and Field Hockey junior Riley Danko were named Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first career weekly honor for both Sareyka and Danko in their junior seasons.
 
Sareyka was an offensive force for the Chargers last week as she tallied 49 total kills across four matches as Lancaster Bible went 3-1 on the week. Lea averaged 3.77 kills per set and hit for a .214 attack percentage with double-digit kills in all four matches. Sareyka leads the Chargers with 123 kills this season and is top-10 in the United East this year in total kills and kills per set. On top of attacking the ball well, Lea landed 17 total service aces on the week including a career-high nine aces against Hood College on Thursday. Sareyka also became the 23rd player in program history with 100 career aces and sits in 13th place all-time with 571 career kills.
 
Danko commanded the Chargers' offense this week as she was responsible for all five of the team's goals this week, scoring four and assisting on one as the Chargers won 3-2 versus Goucher and lost 2-3 against Sweet Briar for a 1-1 week. Riley banked a career-high three goals on Tuesday against the Gophers to lead the Chargers to victory, then had one goal and one assist on Saturday for nine total points this week. Danko extends her program record for assists with seven and is third in the Division III era in points (21), third in shots on goal (30), and fourth in goals (7), also now being tied for the DIII record in game-winning goals with three.
 
Sareyka and the Women's Volleyball team are on the road on Wednesday, September 24 as they travel to Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. before returning home for Homecoming on Saturday, September 27 as they host Penn St. Berks in their United East opener at 10:00 a.m. For Danko and the Field Hockey team, they travel to Lycoming on Wednesday before hosting their Homecoming matchup with Randolph-Macon on Friday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m.
