Track and Field Continued Success at Alvernia Winter Invitational

Lancaster Bible College men's and women's track and field were on the road at the Alvernia Winter Invitational. The Chargers saw five NCCAA qualifications, two school records broken, and six top 10 finishes.

David Helms would highlight the day with a second-place finish in the 5000-meter race with a time of 15:14.96. He also placed third in the 3000-meter race (8:54.39) breaking the program record, previously held by Mitchell Gray. Elly Bruner placed third in the high jump which has placed her 28th in the NCAA DIII.

Coach Melissa Baughman had this to say about the day, "It was a very competitive meet with a number of DII schools there, but we competed well and continue to see growth. Proud of their effort today!"

The Chargers will be back on the track on January 24th as they head across town to Franklin and Marshall for the Coach I Invite.
