The United East Conference released their weekly award winners for last week on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, with the Chargers nabbing four athletes on the release as Men's Volleyball freshman
Braden Escover earned Offensive Player of the Week, Men's Indoor Track & Field junior
David Helms earned Track Athlete of the Week, and Women's Indoor Track & Field swept the honors as sophomore
Cadee Cameron earned Track Athlete of the Week and junior
Elly Bruner earned Field Athlete of the Week. For Helms, this marks his fourth weekly honor this season and seventh of his career, Bruner makes it three weekly awards in a row, and for Escover and Cameron this is their first career weekly honor.

Escover led the Chargers' attack this week as the team went 2-1 in three matches including two sweeps against both Wilkes and Bridgewater (Va.), with a loss to #4-ranked Southern Virginia as well. Braden knocked a career-high 18 kills on Tuesday in an arduous three-set victory over the Colonels at home, posting a .500 hitting percentage during the match. In all, Escover had 30 total kills for the week in eight sets with 12 digs and two blocks in addition.

Helms earned his fourth weekly honor of the season after winning the 5,000-Meters event at the Coach I Invite on Saturday with a time of 15:15.56, winning the race by 14-seconds and placing first out of 27 total runners. David also finished sixth overall in the 1 Mile Run, setting a new program record with a time of 4:29.85 and downing the time Mitchell Gray had set back in 2024. Helms ranks first in the United East in the 1 Mile Run, 3,000-Meters, and 5,000-Meters and also ranks first in the NCCAA in the 5,000-Meters, sitting at 16th in the 1 Mile Run and fifth in the 3,000-Meters as well.

Cameron took home Track Athlete of the Week for the first time as she set personal records in both the 1 Mile Run and the 5,000-Meters. Her Mile-time came in at 5:52.53, placing 19th in the event at the Coach I Invite at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday and shaving about seven seconds off her PR. In the 5,000-Meters, Cadee finished in eighth-place with a time of 20:05.97, knocking 13-seconds off her PR and ranking her in first in the United East in the event so far this season.

Bruner earned Field honors for the third straight week, earning two top-10 finishes at the Coach I Invite on Saturday in both the High Jump and the Long Jump. Elly placed fifth in the High Jump with a height of 1.50 Meters and set a new personal-best in the Long Jump with a distance of 5.03 Meters, placing seventh out of 42 competitors. Bruner ranks first in the United East in all three of Long Jump, High Jump, and Triple Jump while also tying for third in the NCCAA in High Jump and fifth in the Triple Jump.

For Escover and the Men's Volleyball team, the Chargers have three matches this week as they travel to Stevenson on Thursday, January 29 at 7:00 p.m., then return home to host their first tri-match of 2026 on Saturday, January 31 as they take on Elizabethtown at 10:00 a.m. and Widener at 2:00 p.m. For Helms, Cameron, Bruner, and the rest of the Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field teams, the Chargers will travel back to Alvernia to take part in the PLEX Shootout on Saturday, January 31 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
