Two Chargers Earn First Weekly Honors of 2026

The United East Conference released their first weekly award winners of 2026 on Monday afternoon as two Lancaster Bible student-athletes were recognized, with Men's Basketball junior Camden Hurst earning Offensive Player of the Week and Women's Basketball junior Rachel Nolt earning Offensive Player of the Week as well. This is Hurst's second weekly honor of the season and first Offensive award and Nolt's first career weekly honor.

Hurst has powered the Chargers' offense all season long with a team- and conference-leading 20.8 points per game, and this week was no different as he tallied 68 total points across LBC's three games. Cam had 23 points on 50% shooting in the Chargers' 88-80 win over (RV) Drew on Monday, leading LBC to their first win over a team in the D3Hoops.com national poll since 2023. He followed that up with 21 points on 50% shooting the next day against Franklin & Marshall in a 71-69 loss at the buzzer, adding three steals and three rebounds as well. Finally, he finished the week on Saturday at Moravian with 24 points on 50% shooting with seven rebounds and two steals in a 99-81 loss on the road. Hurst has four straight games with 20+ points and eight total 20-point games this season, reaching double-figures in all 13 of the Chargers' games so far this season.

Nolt propelled the Chargers to a 1-1 week as she led the team in both of their games in scoring with 17 points at Delaware Valley on Tuesday and 19 points in a home win over Cairn on Saturday. Rachel notched her fifth double-double of the season against the Aggies with 17 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Chargers this season with 7.7 rebounds per game as well as in scoring with 12.5 points per game. Nolt has reached double-figures in scoring 11 times for LBC this season and is averaging 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game against United East opponents so far en route to the Chargers' 3-0 start in conference play.

Both the Men's and Women's Basketball teams will be in action this week as they travel to face Penn St. Brandywine on Wednesday, January 7, with the men playing at 5:30 p.m. and the women at 7:30 p.m. Then, the Chargers will be back in the Horst Athletic Center on Saturday, January 10 as they host Keystone in a United East double-header, with the men tipping off at 1:00 p.m. and the women at 3:00 p.m.
