The United East Conference released their weekly award winners on Tuesday morning, with the Chargers earning one honor as Men's Tennis freshman
Cole Stoltzfus was named Player of the Week for his performance. This is Stoltzfus' first weekly honor of his career.
Stoltzfus played well for the Chargers in Hilton Head, S.C. during the Spring Tennis Fest this past week as he picked up each of LBC's set wins with three in total. Against Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.), Cole went 2-0 on the day as he won a hard-fought #1 singles matchup 7-6, 7-6 to earn a team point for LBC, then earned a 6-2 victory alongside
Cole Scheihing (Jr.) in the #1 doubles matchup for the Chargers. Then, Cole won another singles match at the #1 slot against Buena Vista, defeating his opponent 6-4, 6-4 to finish 2-0 in singles during their Hilton Head trip.
Stoltzfus and the Chargers have two matches on the docket this week as they travel to face Eastern on the road on Thursday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m., then are on the road again on Saturday, March 21 as they play their first United East match of the season against Penn St. Abington at 1:00 p.m.
