The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team started its long weekend with a win at Pitt-Greensburg Friday afternoon. Sophomore goal keeper
Jake Kreider made a 11 saves and earned his first shutout of the season as the Chargers (1-1) defeated Pitt-Greensburg 1-0.
Junior
Kevin Keltner scored the lone goal of the game with five seconds remaining in the first half. Sophomores
Taylor Dooley and
Lawrence Lartey assisted on the goal.
Despite being outshot 15-10 for the game, the Chargers defense and Kreider held down the fort and refused to give up their one goal lead. Pitt-Greensburg (0-2) held the edge in corner kicks as well, 12-6.
"It's just a really good win for our soccer team," Head Coach Josh Beers said. "We have a long weekend and this was a good start."
The Chargers' road trip takes them to Baptist Bible for a 1:00 p.m. start Saturday afternoon. Their two-day trip (Lancaster to Greensburg and back and Lancaster to Clarks Summit and back) will take them a total of 702 miles.
