The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team fell to The Catholic University of America on Thursday night in Washington, D.C., 3-1.
After playing well in the first set only to lose, 27-25, the Chargers came out flat in the second set and lost 25-14. LBC (7-10) turned the tables in the third set and pulled out a 25-22 victory. Catholic responded and shutdown the Chargers, 25-8 in the fourth set.
Hailee Growden had 12 kills and nine digs to pace the Chargers. Sophomore
Lauren Heliger also had double-digit kills with 10.
Hannah Fogle chipped in with 12 digs.

Lauren Bewley was happy with the Chargers' play in the first and third sets, but displeased with their performance in the second and fourth sets.
"We were so up and down," Bewley said. "We need to play much more consistantly on Saturday."
Saturday, the Chargers will host Stevenson [10 a.m.], New Jersey City [2 p.m.] and Bryn Mawr [4 p.m.] at Horst Athletic Center. Stevenson and New Jersey City will play at noon.
