Chargers-Record Seven Players Earn All-Conference, Timberlake Wins Defensive Player of the Year

The United East Conference announced their Women's Volleyball All-Conference and Major Award winners for the 2025 season on Tuesday morning, with Lancaster Bible totaling seven players on the All-Conference release with one Major Award winner as senior Madison Timberlake was named Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, Timberlake was named to the United East First Team. The Chargers totaled four Second Team selections, including junior Lea Sareyka, junior Jessica Fletcher, junior Eden Belford, and junior Madeline Reed. To wrap it up, senior Riley Dodrer and sophomore Madison Reap were Third Team Selections. This is a program record for Women's Volleyball with seven All-Conference selections.
 
Madison Timberlake earns her first career All-Conference honor notches the fourth consecutive Defensive Player of the Year award for Lancaster Bible, following Leah Helman's three straight wins from 2022-2024. She finished the year with a United East-best 480 total digs and averaging 4.90 digs per set, finishing with 143 digs and 4.33 digs per set against conference opponents. Madison had 11 games with 20+ digs this season with three games of 25 or more, notching a career-high 29 digs on September 30 at home against Penn St. Harrisburg. Timberlake added 82 assists and 38 service aces to her season totals as well and had an 89.5% reception percentage, with the most attempts on the team this season at 439. She earned four total Defensive Player of the Week honors, tying Helman's mark last season for the most in one year. Madi concludes her career in a Chargers uniform with the 10th-most digs in program history at 863 and her 480 digs this season were the eighth-most in a single season by a Charger.
 
Lea Sareyka notched her second straight All-Conference selection, earning First Team honors in 2024 with a Second Team nod this season. She led the Chargers' offense this year with 277 total kills and averaged 2.83 kills per set, both the eighth-best mark in the conference, also hitting for a .192 attack percentage. Lea reached double-digit kills in 14 games this season, knocking a season-high 17 kills versus Penn St. Harrisburg on September 30. She also led the Chargers with 63 service aces and 0.64 aces per set, ranking her fifth in the United East in both categories. Sareyka had at least three aces in eight games this year with a career-high nine aces on September 18 at Hood College. She earned on Offensive Player of the Week one time this season and ranks eighth in the conference with 348.5 total points this season. Lea climbed the program ranks this year as well, sitting in eighth all-time in both kills (725) and total attacks (2,206) and tied for 12th in service aces (133).
 
Jessica Fletcher earns her first career All-Conference selection with the Chargers, ranking second on the team in kills with 208 and second in total points with 240.5. She had double-digit kills in eight games this season with a season-high 16 at Dickinson on September 24. She was one of just 15 players in the United East this year with 200+ kills and ranked 23rd in points per set at 2.41. Fletcher also ranks highly in the program record book, sitting at 13th all-time in kills with 615 and 11th all-time in total attacks with 1,891, also ranking highly in block assists with 69 for the 15th-most in program history.
 
Eden Belford earned her second career All-Conference nod this season as she was a First Team player in 2024, having another great season for the Chargers. She was third on the Chargers in kills with 196, hitting at a .230 clip with 2.13 kills per set. Eden is 14th in the conference in hitting percentage and 17th in kills per set, reaching double-digit kills three times this year and tying her career-high with 17 kills versus Susquehanna on October 25. Belford added the third-most blocks on the team with 34 including 11 games with multiple blocks, landing a season-high four blocks twice and landing six solo blocks, the third-most on the team. Eden entered some of the program lists this season, now in 17th all-time in kills with 495 and in the top-20 in block assists with 52.
 
Madeline Reed earns her third All-Conference selection in three seasons as she had a divisional Second Team nod in 2023 and a Third Team nod in 2024. Reed facilitated the Chargers' offense all year long, collecting 557 total assists for 5.63 assists per set, ranking her fifth in the conference in per-set assists. Madeline dished 20+ assists in 12 games this season, with a new career-high of 48 assists in a five-set match against Dickinson on September 24. Reed also contributed offensively from behind the line, landing 38 service aces for the second-most on the team. Madeline now has the fourth-most assists in program history, finishing her junior year with 1,758 career assists.
 
Riley Dodrer earned her first career All-Conference selection in her final season with the Chargers, starting 28 of 29 games for the Chargers this year with the fifth-most kills on the team with 110 on a team-best .255 hitting percentage. She had a season-high 11 kills against Penn St. Harrisburg on September 30 and hit at least .500 in five games this year. Her dominance was on the defensive end, landing a team-high 49 total blocks for 0.51 blocks per set, ranking 14th in the conference. Her 49 blocks were sixth-most in the United East and her 44 block assists were fourth-most, landing multiple blocks in 19 games this season with a career-high six total blocks against Susquehanna on October 25. Riley finishes her career ranked fourth all-time in block assists with 134 and has the seventh-most total blocks in program history with 159.
 
Madison Reap makes in two All-Conference selections in two years, earning Third Team honors this year despite missing five games in non-conference play. She finished fourth on the team with 144 total kills on a .229 hitting percentage, ranking her 15th in the conference in that category. She reached double-figures in kills five times with a season-high 13 against Cairn on October 2. Reap also had 26 service aces on offense and was third on the team with 196 total digs, adding the second-most receptions on the team with a 94.2% reception percentage. Madison surpassed 100 career service aces this season and ranks 19th in program history with 115 aces after two seasons.
 
Across the United East, Gallaudet junior Brielle Worley was named Player of the Year, Cairn freshman Marah Lehman earned Rookie of the Year honors, and Gallaudet head coach Lynn Ray Boren was recognized as Coach of the Year.
