The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team scores early and they score often. Over the course of their current nine-game winning streak many teams have found this fact out. It was Wells College's turn on Saturday and LBC wasted little time showing them how explosive their offense can be.

Sarah Heilenman scored 13 minutes into the game off a corner kick and
Karyn Harkness made it 2-0 just 10 minutes later. After freshman
Evelyn Stauffer scored in the 33rd minute off of another corner kick, the rout was on.
Whitney Heise scored her eighth goal of the year four minutes later to make it 4-0. The Express got on the board just 33 seconds after Heise's goal on a great individual effort from Paige Stone. It was the first goal LBC had given up in 432 minutes. The last time the Chargers' allowed a goal was Sept. 13 against Penn St. Berks in a 4-1 LBC win.
Ally Brown continued her stellar season with a goal 28 seconds into the second half that helped LBC Head Coach
Ken Craul clear his bench.
"It was good to get different ladies into the game and have them get lots of touches," Craul said. "It helps them build confidence and to have everyone get field experience is key for our depth and may help us down the road."
Craul said one of the reasons he likes getting the bench players in is because playing is much different than watching.
"The ladies are attentative and follow the play well on the bench, but when you are out on the field, it's easy to lose where you are and things can get confusing. Having them get field experience helps them understand that when they watch the game from the bench, they should be focusing on where they should be if they were in the game," Craul said.
The Chargers have now won nine straight games, a new program record. The previous record of eight was accomplished by the 2004 team that finished 16-6. LBC will look to make it 10 in a row on Wednesday when they travel to Phoenixville, Pa. to take on NCCAA East Region rival Valley Forge Christian at 3:30 p.m.
Notes:
-Brown's 10 goals this season match her output from last season.
