The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team played four matches this weekend as part of the NEAC South Divison Weekend held at Penn St. Berks.
LBC vs. Penn St. Abington
LBC 3, Penn St. Abington 0 - 25-6, 25-7, 25-12
Lauren Heliger led the Chargers with 11 kills and seven digs. Katie Coomber had 12 assists, while
Emily Timberlake had 11.
Lauren Donato chipped in with five kills and six digs.
LBC vs. Gallaudet
Gallaudet 3, LBC 0 - 25-14, 25-6, 25-15
The Chargers only loss of the weekend did not go well. LBC had only 12 kills in three sets and matched that with 12 errors. Heliger had seven of the kills, including 13 digs.
LBC vs. College of St. Elizabeth
LBC 3, College of St. Elizabeth 1 - 25-16, 21-25, 25-13, 25-17
Lauren Heliger had one of her best matches of the season with 17 kills and 19 digs. LBC had 72 digs in four sets, led by
Lauren Hurd's 20.
Lauren Donato continued her impressive freshman campaign with 13 kills and 15 digs. She also added four aces and a solo block. Fellow freshman Katie Coomber had 38 assists.
LBC vs. Penn St. Harrisburg
LBC 3, Penn St. Harrisburg 0 - 25-14, 25-23, 25-20
Heliger concluded her dominant weekend with 15 kills and 15 digs. Donato once again had double-digit kills and digs with 10 and 14 respectively.
Rachel Olson chipped in with 12 digs, while
Emily Timberlake had 29 assists.
Niki Endy led LBC with three aces.
"We didn't play great the entire weekend, but to go 3-1 is very nice and we will take the wins," LBC Head Coach
Lauren Bewley said.
The Chargers are now 11-6 overall and 6-2 in NEAC Play. They have two NEAC matches remaining on Oct. 15 when they take on SUNYIT and SUNY Morrisville.
LBC takes the court again on Tuesday when they host Shenandoah at 7:00 p.m.
