The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team took part in the Goucher Family Weekend Tournament on Friday and Saturday. Here is a match-by-match recap.
Goucher 3, LBC 1
20-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-21
Lauren Heliger had 16 kills and 19 digs to lead the Chargers. LBC had 80 digs in four sets as
Lauren Hurd had 18,
Brittney Becker had 15 and
Lauren Donato had 13 to go along with her eight kills. The Gophers' Ashley Fan had a match-high 32 digs to lead Goucher.

FDU-Florham 3, LBC 1
25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-14
The Chargers once again battled, but came up short. Heliger had a career-high 24 digs to go along with 12 kills to lead the Chargers. LBC had 86 digs as a team.
Rachel Olson and Donato each had 18 digs for LBC, while Donato had 11 kills as well. Katie Coomber had 32 assists for the Chargers.

Stevenson 3, LBC 0
25-11, 25-12, 25-8
LBC could not hang with a tough, talent-loaded Stevenson squad as the Mustangs rolled in three sets. Heliger had six kills and 19 digs and
Emily Timberlake added five assists and one dig, but it was not enough.

Marymount 3, LBC 1
25-17, 25-14, 25-27, 25-20
After being beaten handly in the first two sets, the Chargers battled back in the third set and won, 27-25. Marymount rebounded and finished off the Chargers, 25-20 in the fourth set. Heliger set a new career-high with 26 digs to go with 14 kills.
Naomi Martin had three blocks while
Niki Endy had an ace and seven digs.

Milestone:
With her 18th dig against Marymount,
Lauren Heliger became the first player in LBC history with 1,000 digs. She now has 1,008 for her career and is just a junior. Senior
Brittney Becker needs two digs to become the second player with 1,000 digs.
