Box Score 2 The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team wrapped up its regular season on Saturday with one of the biggest wins in recent history as the Chargers overcame an opening loss to Bridgewater to defeat host Catholic, 3-1 in Washington, D.C. The win against the Cardinals is the first in program history for the Chargers and improves their record to 19-13 this season. Below is a recap of each match.

The Chargers opened the day with a 3-0 loss to Bridgewater (Va.). Senior
Katie Coomber had 12 kills and 15 digs to pace the Chargers, while junior
Joanna Butala had eight kills and five digs. Junior
Hannah Derr had four kills, 15 digs and 26 assists for Lancaster Bible, while fellow junior
Grace Scheuerman had a team-high 16 digs.Â
The loss drops Lancaster Bible to 0-2 all-time against Bridgewater.

Freshman
Myranda Kemrer had one of the best matches in program history to lead the Chargers to one of their biggest victories in years. Kemrer had 22 kills, 33 digs and two aces to help the Chargers defeat the Cardinals who entered the match with a 21-12 record. Coomber added 12 more kills and 26 digs, while Scheuerman had 31 more digs. Derr broke her own program-record for assists in a single match as she had 52 helpers to go with her 15 digs and three kills. Butala added seven kills and 20 digs as well for the Chargers who improved to 1-4 all-time against Catholic. Sophomore
Emily Olson capped another productive day with 12 kills and zero errors on 31 attempts to go along with a block and two digs.
Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Friday when they face Keuka in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. The match, slated to begin at 7 p.m., will be played at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. The top-seeded Bison are hosting the tournament and will play the winner of Friday night's match. Keuka defeated Lancaster Bible, 3-1 earlier this season.
