Wolves Down Chargers

Box Score The Lancaster Bible College field hockey team lost its third straight game on Friday night, as the Chargers fell to Keuka 1-3, at the Donald H. Funk Field. Lancaster Bible is now 3-10 overall this season, while the Wolves improved to 3-9.

How it Happened: The Chargers were able to hold their own over the the four periods of play, but Keuka managed to send three balls to the back of the net. Keuka was able to hold most of the possession for the first half as they sent five shots towards the net and were given nine penalty corners for the first half. Despite the possession of play being lopsided, the Chargers defense were able to stop a series of offensive attacks from the Wolves. Keuka's Wilson was able to score her fourth goal of the season as the second period came to a close.

The Chargers came out ready to play in the second half as they raised their intensity on the offensive side of the ball which featured eight shots and eight penalty corners. Chargers' own, Deanna Clemens, was able to be in the right place when the ball was crossed in the middle which led to the Chargers' lone goal of the night and her first goal of the season. Not long after, Wilson of Keuka would score her second goal of the night just a few minutes after the Chargers goal helping them gain the lead again. The last goal was scored by Keuka's Mills and ultimately led to a 3-1 final score.
