The #3-seed Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey team has advanced to the Semifinal Round of the United East Championship after earning their first-ever playoff victory over #6-seed Cedar Crest in the First Round on Tuesday night. The Chargers are now set to travel to St. Mary's City, Md. for a matchup against #2-seed St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday, October 31 at 12:00 p.m. to compete for a spot in the conference title game.
 
First Round Recap
Tuesday night's playoff game between the #6-seed Falcons and the #3-seed Chargers came down to the final period as both teams went scoreless through three quarters in a tight contest, with neither team getting more than five shots off and the Chargers having three penalty corners to the Falcons' one. As the clock ticked under nine minutes remaining in regulation, the Chargers drew a corner that was tipped in by Rebekah Hoover (So.) in the circle off a feed from Bailey Simmons (So.), breaking through the drought and giving the Chargers a home lead. After several more corner attempts for the Chargers, a pass came from the baseline to Riley Danko (Sr.) who dished it to Grace Barnett (Jr.), sending it back to Danko and into the circle where Hoover once again redirected the ball into the back of the net, helping to secure a 2-0 victory for Lancaster Bible and send them to the Semifinals.
 
Previous Matchup (2026)
The Chargers traveled to St. Mary's (Md.) last week on October 21 for their final regular season game, falling to the Seahawks 5-1 after three Seahawk goals in the fourth quarter put them on top for good. After a scoreless first quarter, the Seahawks broke the tie in the 20th minute to take the lead, but a goal by Mallie McNatt (Fr.) got the Chargers evened up at 1-1 with the Seahawks. St. Mary's (Md.) took the lead back before halftime for a 2-1 lead at the break, then the teams both went without a goal in the third quarter before three goals in six minutes by the Seahawks helped them runaway with a United East victory over the Chargers.
