Program Notes
-This will be the second season for the field hockey team at Lancaster Bible, as the Chargers returned to varsity status a year ago after a 33-year hiatus
-Midfielder Blessing Bowman returns after becoming the first Lancaster Bible player to earn NEAC All-Conference honors a year ago
-The Chargers will be members of the Colonial States Athletic Conference for field hockey this season…The CSAC meets the NCAA requirements for an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III National Tournament, while the NEAC, with just four teams, does not
-Lancaster Bible will host Centenary on Friday, Sept. 27 as part of the Homecoming Weekend festivities at the college…That game will also mark the first CSAC game for the Chargers
-The goalkeeping combo of Crawley and Campbell will replace Anne VanBuskirk who made 56 saves a year ago for the Chargers

3 Questions for 2019
1. Can the Chargers find the back of the cage more often this season?
-The answer should be yes, as the Chargers have added lots of offense, and the returners have a year of NCAA Division III field hockey under their collective belts
2. Can the Chargers improve each time they take the field like last season?
-Though it did not result in any victories a year ago, there was a definite difference from the team that took the field in August to the team that took the field in late October…Lancaster Bible got better almost every game last year, and must do that again
3. Will Lancaster Bible earn a victory on the road this season?
-The Chargers play 11 of their 18 games this season away from the Donald H. Funk Field, and will look to steal a few road games this year as they compete for a playoff spot in the CSAC
