How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College baseball team grabbed an eighth inning lead to take down the Seahawks in game two of their United East series by a score of 3-2 on Saturday, April 16.

The Chargers (15-15 Overall, 10-4 United East) got on the board in the first inning. After Jaden Pinkney worked a walk, Brian Coburn smashed a double to left field, putting runners on second and third. Tyler Cunningham landed a single through the right side, allowing both runners to score and giving LBC the early 2-0 lead. The Seahawks (10-10 Overall, 6-7 United East) scored a run in the bottom half of the inning, but the Chargers held a one-run advantage after one frame.

St. Mary's (Md.) put another run across the plate in the fourth inning, tying the game at two. Mark Cullins singled to lead off the top of the seventh inning, trying to start a rally. LBC could not bring him in, halting the opportunity. The Seahawks were held scoreless in the bottom half of the inning, sending the game to the eighth inning tied 2-2.

The Chargers made their final push in the top of the eighth. Pinkney and Coburn led off the inning with back-to-back singles, then Cunningham cracked a base hit to load the bases. Ethan Varricchione launched a fly ball to center field that allowed Pinkney to score, putting the Chargers up by one. The Seahawks went down 1-2-3 in the bottom half, with LBC securing the 3-2 victory.

Inside the Numbers
- Tyler Cunningham hit 2-4 for the Chargers, driving in a pair of RBIs
- Blake Greenly went 3-4 with three singles
- Brian Coburn had a double in the first inning, hitting 2-4 on the day
- Ethan Varricchione drove in the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly
- The Seahawks were led by Cole Tarleton who batted 2-4 with an RBI single

On the Mound
- Jackson York started on the mound for the Chargers, pitching 4.0 innings and allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four batters

How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College baseball team dropped game three of their series with St. Mary's (Md.) by a score of 4-2 on Saturday, April 16.

Lancaster Bible (15-16 Overall, 10-5 United East) had their first opportunity to score in the second inning. After Tyler Cunningham was hit by a pitch, Harrison Hobdy hit a single to put two runners on base. The Chargers could not bring them around, with the game remaining scoreless. The Seahawks (11-10 Overall, 7-7 United East) strung a few hits together to grab a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. LBC tried to rally again in the fourth inning with Andrew Kidder and Hobdy registering base hits, but could not score.

After St. Mary's (Md.) added another run in the fifth inning, the Chargers broke through in the top of the sixth. Pinkney drew a walk, then Ethan Varricchione smashed a single to left field, putting two runners on for LBC. Hobdy then reached on an error that allowed Pinkney to come around and score, cutting the deficit to two runs.

The Chargers struck again in the top of the seventh inning. Thade Hauge hit a lead-off single, then Kaden Hunt singled to move Hauge over to third base. Blake Greenly hit a hard ground ball to the shortstop, driving in Hauge to bring the score to 3-2. Pinkney drew his second walk of the game, but he could not score, keeping the deficit at one. St. Mary's (Md.) added another run in the eighth, closing out the Chargers in the ninth to hold on for a 4-2 victory.

- Harrison Hobdy and Kaden Hunt each went 2-4 on the day
- Blake Greenly drove in the lone RBI for the Chargers
- Andrew Kidder, Ethan Varricchione, and Thade Hauge all recorded hits
- The Seahawks were led by Dan Weeden who hit 2-4 with a triple and an RBI single

On the Mound
- Starting pitcher Owen Shimmel threw 7.0 innings, tied for his longest outing of the season. He allowed three runs on seven hits, striking out five
- Andrew Workman pitched the eighth inning, allowing one run on two hits and recording two strikeouts
