How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College baseball team dropped the second game of their three-game series with Penn St. Harrisburg, falling by a score of 12-1 in seven innings of action on Saturday, April 23.

Before the game, LBC took a few moments to honor the seven senior members of the team: Josh Noll, Jaden Pinkney, Trevor High, Jacob Stong, Ethan Varricchione, Zach McCauley and Tyler Cunningham.

The Chargers (15-18 Overall, 10-7 United East) struggled to find their momentum early in the game, allowing Penn St. Harrisburg (21-14 Overall, 15-2 United East) to score six runs in the first two innings, giving the Lions a 6-0 lead. LBC slowed the Penn St. Harrisburg roll, keeping them off the scoreboard for the next four innings.

LBC finally got on the board in the sixth inning. With one out in the inning, Tyler Cunningham smashed a fly ball over the center field fence to bring LBC back within five runs. The Lions responded, plating seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to put the game out of reach, winning 12-1.

Inside the Numbers
- Tyler Cunningham led LBC's offense, going 1-2 with a solo home run
- Blake Greenly recorded a pair of singles and he also stole two bases
- Jaden Pinkney went 1-2 with a walk
- Adam Naylor collected LBC's other hit

On the Mound
- Trevor High pitched 3.1 innings, allowing six runs on four hits while striking out six

How it Happened
The Chargers could not recover from their earlier defeat, losing game three of the series by a score of 11-6.

Trailing 2-0 going into the bottom of the first inning, LBC (15-19 Overall, 10-8 United East) looked to get their offense going. Blake Greenly led off with a single to the shortstop and advanced to second on an error. Brian Coburn then capitalized on another error, allowing Greenly to score, making the score 2-1. The Lions (22-14 Overall, 16-2 United East) plated three more runs in the top of the third inning to stretch the lead to four. The Chargers responded in the bottom of the inning, with Jaden Pinkney cranking a double down the right field line that allowed Greenly to score, cutting the deficit down to three.

The Lions tacked on three more runs in the fourth inning, taking an 8-2 advantage. Andrew Kidder responded, hammering a solo home run over the left field fence. LBC plated another run in the fifth inning. Ethan Varricchione reached on an error and moved himself into scoring position. The Chargers would then load the bases and Harrison Hobdy drew a walk to bring in a run, making the score 8-4.

LBC continued fighting back, closing within two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning when Brian Coburn launched a two-run home run to center field, making the score 8-6. The Lions halted LBC's rally, scoring twice in the seventh inning and once in the ninth inning to pull away and win 11-6.

Inside the Numbers
- Brian Coburn went 1-4, blasting a two-run home run in the sixth inning
- Andrew Kidder went 2-4 with a solo home run
- Jaden Pinkney finished the game 3-4 with a double, driving in an RBI
