The Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team rolled to their fifth straight win on Tuesday night with a 3-0 sweep over Cedar Crest. The Chargers improve to 17-4 overall and 4-0 in conference play while the Falcons drop to 7-13 overall and 2-3 in the United East.
How it Happened:
Sophomores
Jessica Fletcher and
Lea Sareyka led the charge in the first set, combining for the first five kills as LBC took an early 10-6 lead. Sareyka and senior
Sheyenne King combined for a block, then King had a kill to put the Chargers up eight. LBC closed out the Falcons in set one 25-18.
It was Cedar Crest that took control early in the second set behind a few key blocks as they led by as many as four in the set. The Chargers responded in the middle of the set, stringing two different five-point runs together with kills from junior
Riley Dodrer and some Falcon errors to take the lead. The Chargers earned a second-set win 25-19 to go up 2-0.
It was all Chargers in set three as the first seven points went their way, highlighted by four kills from Sareyka and an ace from freshman
Madison Reap. LBC had five total aces in the set with 13 kills, including the final slam from Fletcher to finish off Cedar Crest 25-11 and earn the Chargers' 17
th win of the season.

Information to Know:
The Chargers improve to 6-4 all-time against Cedar Crest. This was the Chargers' first matchup with the Falcons since 2012 and LBC has won four in a row. The Chargers have won five straight games for the third time this season, sitting just one win away from matching their total from last season. Sophomore
Lea Sareyka surpassed 300 career kills with 15 in tonight's match and leads the team this season with 214 kills.
