The Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team hit the road for United East play as they took on Saint Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon, earning a 3-0 sweep. The Chargers improve to 15-4 overall and 2-0 in conference, while the Eagles drop to 6-9 overall and 0-2 in United East play.

How it Happened:
The Chargers rolled to a 5-0 start in the first set with three kills, with sophomore
Lea Sareyka and freshman
Madison Reap helping keep the lead with kills to make it 13-7. Junior
Riley Dodrer and sophomore
Eden Belford combined for the Chargers' first block, then two kills from Belford put LBC up 17-9 and forced an Eagles timeout. The Chargers closed out set one with a kill from senior
Sheyenne King, winning 25-12.

Another strong start fueled the Chargers as they scored the first six points behind two aces from Reap and kills from Belford and Dodrer. A block from Sareyka and two aces from senior
Emma Shaeffer forced a timeout, then LBC increased the lead to 14-2 on another pair of aces from Shaeffer. Saint Elizabeth closed the gap by a little bit, but kills from Sareyka and an ace from King closed out set two 25-15.

The third set started closer with the Eagles forcing a 3-3 tie, but an ace from senior
Leah Helman and a few kills from sophomore
Chloe Belford gave the Chargers the lead. A few Chargers blocks help maintain the lead, then LBC launched an 11-point run sparked by kills from Reap and an ace from sophomore
Madeline Reed. The Chargers closed out the Eagles with an ace from Reap to take set three 25-9 and remain unbeaten in United East play.

The Chargers have never lost to the Eagles, improving to a perfect 8-0 against Saint Elizabeth all-time. Lancaster Bible has started 2-0 in conference play for the third straight season. This was sophomore
Lea Sareyka's tenth game this season with double-digit kills and she leads the team with 188 kills. Sophomore
Madeline Reed reached 900 career assists in today's game and currently is sixth all-time for the Chargers with 917 assists. Junior
Riley Dodrer recorded her 90
th career block in the second set. Senior
Leah Helman is now top-5 in program history in both digs and service aces, moving into fifth all-time in service aces with 175 in her career.
