The Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team won their fourth straight game on Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep over conference foe Penn St. Abington. The Chargers improve to 16-4 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the United East, while the Lions drop to 15-3 overall and are now 2-1 in conference play.

How it Happened:
The first set was tightly contested, featuring 13 ties and five lead changes as the Chargers and Lions traded blows. It wasn't until late in the set when the Chargers pulled away with an 8-1 scoring run highlighted by kills from freshman
Madison Reap and sophomore
Eden Belford, with Belford finishing the set off with a kill to help LBC take it 25-18.

The Chargers took control early in the second set with a 6-0 run, with Reap landing three aces in a row to spark the run. Another six points straight featured two aces from senior
Leah Helman and three kills from sophomore
Lea Sareyka, extending the lead to 12-2. It was smooth sailing from there, with yet another six-point spurt to end the set with a kill from Sareyka to put the Chargers up 2-0 with a 25-10 set win.

After a 4-0 start to set three for LBC, the Lions found their stride with seven consecutive points to take an 11-8 lead. The teams traded points throughout the middle of the set until the Chargers put together a 6-1 run with two aces from Helman and kills from Sareyka to take the lead back. Just like set two, Lancaster Bible ended on a six-point run, with three kills from Reap to finish off Penn St. Abington and win the set 25-18 to earn win number 16 on the season.
