vs Penn St. Brandywine – 3-0 Win (25-11, 25-21, 25-17)
How it Happened:
The Chargers rolled in the first set as they took a 6-0 lead behind an ace from senior
Emma Shaeffer and kills from three different players. That lead stretched to 10-1 after sophomore
Lea Sareyka landed three straight aces, then became 13-4 after an ace from senior
Sheyenne King. The Chargers finished the set 25-11.
The Lions took the lead in the second set early after several Charger errors. It wasn't until the Chargers tied the game at 10-10 when sophomore
Eden Belford landed a kill to give LBC their first lead of the set. A kill from Sareyka capped a five-point run to take a big lead, but the Lions would not go away easy as they came within two late. Sareyka and Belford hit back-to-back kills to finish set two 25-21 for the Chargers.
The Chargers used an early five-point run behind two aces from Shaeffer to create separation in set three, then put up a match-high seven straight points to go up 17-5 featuring two aces from King and two kills from sophomore
Jessica Fletcher. Brandywine put together a late 6-1 burst, but a service error clinched a 25-17 set win, 3-0 match sweep for the Chargers, and the second-best record in the United East for Lancaster Bible.
