2023 Season Review: The Chargers finish 9-7-2 overall and a 3-2-1 record in the United East. Starting the season off hot, the Chargers won their first eight out of nine games before falling to St.Mary's (Md.) in the first round of the Volt Division playoffs. Finishing out the year, the Chargers received three All-Conference nods in
Isabella Eufemia (1
st Team),
Kendal Ream (1
st Team), and
Janae Bergey (2
nd Team).
Key Returners: Janae Bergey (Jr.) & Bella Eufemia (So.)
After losing a few key pieces in seniors
Kendal Ream,
Elaina Dinse, and
Naomi Ewing, the Chargers' pitch will look a little different this upcoming season, primarily on the offensive end. The young squad features only five upperclassmen and one senior in
Jade Weir (Midfield).
Despite the changes, Head Coach
Jake Warren and crew are confident in the chemistry between both returners and newcomers, especially in the midfield and defensive units. While a few preseason injuries have added another obstacle, the Chargers will look to keep healthy and compete in conference play.
