The Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team kicked off LBC's Homecoming weekend slate of games on Friday night, earning a 3-0 sweep of Alvernia for the second time this season. The Chargers improve to 13-4 overall while the Golden Wolves drop to 8-6 overall.

How it Happened:
Sophomore
Eden Belford began the match with back-to-back kills to give the Chargers an early lead, never relinquishing it in the first set. Senior
Leah Helman had a pair of aces in the set, while freshman
Madison Reap and sophomore
Lea Sareyka landed kills to keep LBC on top. A pair of four-point runs towards the end of the set helped the Chargers close it out 25-18 on a kill by junior
Riley Dodrer.

The second set was closer near the beginning as the Golden Wolves maintained a one-point lead. The teams traded points for 10 in a row as it remained close, but a four-point run for the Chargers including kills from Dodrer and Reap and an ace from sophomore
Madeline Reed got LBC ahead 18-15. The Chargers won seven of the next 11 points to win set two 25-19.

The Chargers took control early in the third set with a 12-5 lead behind three kills from Sareyka and a slew of Alvernia errors. Dodrer and Belford had kills down the stretch, then senior
Crystal Lenk landed the final blow to close out the Golden Wolves 25-13 for a 3-0 Homecoming sweep.
