The United East Conference released their weekly award winners for last week on Tuesday morning, with the Chargers placing three players on the list with Men's Cross Country junior David Helms, Women's Cross Country junior Abby Ames, and Men's Golf freshman Jon Breinich earning Player of the Week honors. This marks the fourth time this season that multiple Charger athletes have earned weekly honors and the second time with three or more.
 
This is David's second career weekly honor and first of this season. Helms has led the way for the Chargers this season as he has been the first LBC runner to cross the finish line in every meet this season, finishing this past week in 25th place at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational at Gettysburg College. David finished with a career-best time of 25:50.3, just ten seconds off the program-record in the 8K race as he finished with the top time in the conference this week.
 
Ames garnered her first career Runner of the Week honor this past weekend after leading the Chargers with a 40th place finish at Gettysburg College on Saturday. Abby broke the Lancaster Bible program record in the 6K race, setting a new mark at 23:20.4 as she boasted the top time in the United East for the week.
 
Breinich collected his third Golfer of the Week honor this season as he finished tied for third on Tuesday at the Lancaster Bible Fall Invitational. Jon led the Chargers with an even score on the day of 71, helping the Chargers take fourth place out of 13 teams with a score of +20 on the day.
 
The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams have a week off before they compete in the United East Conference championship meet on Saturday, November 1. The Men's Golf team has one more fall competition on Monday, October 27 as they compete in the Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational.
