Lancaster, PA- On Saturday, the Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team got their first win of the season, with a 10-2 handling of Polytechnic University. Rebekah Weidel (Reading, PA) led the way with four goals for the Chargers.
Lancaster scored quickly and never looked back, going up 5-0 before the Fighting Blue Jays answered midway through the first half, to make the score 5-1. The Chargers continued to lay it on adding five more for the final 10-2.
Weidel led Charger scorers with a season high four goals. Sophomore, Kirsten Gnagy (Somerset, PA) found the back of the net twice in the first multi-goal game of her career. Rookie, Rachel Warren (Dauphin, PA) netted her second of the year in the win.
Katie Longacre (Mifflinburg, PA), Jenny String (Feasterville, PA), and Ariana DiCroce (Freeport, NY) scored the first goals of the season.
The Chargers are off until March 24th when they travel to SUNY Maritime for a 4:00 PM start.
