The United East Conference released the Women's Lacrosse All-Conference and Major Award winners on Thursday morning. The First and Second Team are comprised of 12 student-athletes from across the conference. The Chargers' own junior attack
Katelynn Perrotta earned a first team bid, while junior defenseman
Alexis Garrett earned a second-team nod.
Perrotta led the Chargers offensively to a 2-3 conference record and helped the Chargers clinch the fourth spot in the United East semi-finals. Perrotta tallied 35 goals and nine assists this season in 12 games, leading the Chargers in both categories and accounting for nearly half of the Chargers goals this season. Not to mention, Perrotta finished with a .556 percent shooting percentage. Perrotta ranks sixth in the United East for both goals per game, 2.92, and points per game, 3.67.
On the defensive, Garrett helped lead the charge with five caused turnovers and seven ground balls to end the season. Not only was she a force in the field, but she also recorded her 200
th career save in goal for the Chargers.
Leading the conference was St. Mary's (Md.) as they picked up all four of the major award winners with Hailey Betch winning Offensive Player of the Year and Brittney Morris winning Coach of the Year.
