Waynesburg, PA- The Chargers were unable to put together the season's first multiple game winning streak losing to Waynesburg University 17-5. Continuing on her scoring tear, Kirsten Gnagy (Somerset, PA) netted three goals in the loss.
Gnagy scored the first goal of the contest for Lancaster with 24:49 left on the clock in the first half, and would not score again for over 32 minutes. In that time, the Yellow Jackets took control scoring 14 straight goals.
The Chargers played Waynesburg even, 4-4, in the second half but it was too little too late falling to a final of 17-5. Miranda Thornton led all scorers with four goals for the Yellow Jackets. Kirsten Gnagy scored three and Rachel Warren (Dauphin, PA) added two for Lancaster.
Lancaster looks for win number three when they host Kean College on Tuesday at 4:00 PM.
