Cougars Too Much for LBC

Lancaster, PA- The Charger's three scores weren't enough in their 15-3 loss to Kean University, Tuesday afternoon.

The Charger's defense was able to hold off the Kean attack until Kelly Mataya broke the scoring silence at the 23:00 minute mark. Over the next eight minutes the Cougars went on an 8-0 run, from which Lancaster could not recover. Kirsten Gnagy (Somerset, PA) scored her tenth goal in the last three games to break up the shutout for the Chargers.

In the second half, Rebekah Weidel (Reading, PA) netted her team leading 15th goal of the season, and Jenna Godwin (Fairfax, VA) added a goal to bring her total up to seven on the year. Kayla Maynard got the loss for the Chargers logging 16 saves. Amanda South led the Cougars with four goals and three assists in the win.

The Chargers are on the road again this Friday when the team travels to Cazenovia College for a 6:00 PM game under the lights.
