Chargers Lose Home Finale

Heading into their final home game, the Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team was riding a three-game winning streak and hoping to end the home portion of their schedule with a 6-1 record. Thanks to Rutgers-Camden's Annalise Strojan, LBC will have to settle with a 5-2 home record in 2010.

Strojan scored six goals, five of which came in the second half, to lead the Raptors past the Chargers, 13-10. LBC's Kirsten Fuller had three goals to lead the Chargers. Rachel Warren, Becka Hixson and Whitney Heise had two goals apiece for LBC (6-8).

Goalie Nicole Valinteno had six saves in the loss.

Heise's goal with 23:49 remaining gave the Chargers an 8-5 lead, but the Strojan show was just about to begin. The Raptors (3-6) scored the next eight goals, four of which came from Strojan, and took control of the game. LBC scored two late goals, but could not recover from the Raptor onslaught.

The Chargers have two games remaining, the first of which is Wednesday at Immaculata. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.

Notes:
-Fuller's three goals give her 23 for the season, tying Mercedes Collins for third on the team.

-Heise's two goals give her 31 points on the season, tying her for first with Rebekah Weidel.
